Revere police arrest man for narcotics trafficking, driving infractions

REVERE — A routine patrol led to the arrest of an Everett man on charges including drug trafficking and driving without a valid license, Revere Police reported.

On Aug. 17, Officer Tiso of the Patrol Division was monitoring traffic on Grover Street when he noticed a driver using a mobile device and committing other vehicle violations.

Tiso conducted a stop on the vehicle and discovered that the driver, Edwin Ceballos-Hernandez, 36, did not possess a valid driver’s license.

Following the traffic stop, police found and seized a large quantity of illegal narcotics.

Ceballos-Hernandez now faces multiple charges, including trafficking Class A substance (fentanyl), illegal possession with intent to distribute Class B substance (cocaine), unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, using a mobile device while operating a motor vehicle in violation of the Hands-Free Law, and a stop sign violation.

The Revere Police Department has not released further details about the quantity of narcotics seized.

Ceballos-Hernandez was taken into custody and is awaiting arraignment.
