FAIRFAX — A fatal motorcycle accident claimed the life of a Fletcher man late Thursday night on Huntville Road.
At approximately 9:06 p.m., St. Albans Barracks troopers responded to a crash report involving a single vehicle.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle with minimal damage.
The rider, identified as 59-year-old Randy Paquette of Fletcher, was found to have suffered fatal injuries following ejection from his motorcycle.
Paquette was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations indicate that Paquette was traveling southbound when he failed to properly negotiate a curve less than a mile from Tabor Road.
Weather conditions were cloudy but the road was dry at the time of the incident.
Emergency services from Fairfax EMS and the Fairfax Fire Department provided assistance, along with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
