RUTLAND TOWN — A 25-year-old man from West Rutland was arrested late Thursday night on charges of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle accident on Barrett Hill Road.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene around 9:23 p.m. where they found Philip Prevosto, the driver of the crashed vehicle.
Troopers observed signs of impairment and determined Prevosto was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
During the investigation, it was also discovered that Prevosto was driving with a criminally suspended license.
He was taken into custody and transported to the State Police Barracks in Rutland for processing.
Prevosto was released with a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court Criminal Division to face charges of DUI #2 and Criminal Driving with a License Suspended (DLS).
The date and time of his court appearance are to be determined.
