BOSTON — A 17-year-old male was arrested early Friday morning on firearm charges after Boston police officers stopped a vehicle with excessive window tint and an invalid inspection sticker.

At approximately 1:02 a.m., officers from District B-2 in Roxbury followed the vehicle as it pulled over at the corner of Kingsdale Street and Bernard Street.

Upon activating their cruiser’s emergency equipment, the officers approached the vehicle and noticed the rejected inspection sticker actually belonged to a different vehicle.

After the occupants were asked to exit the car, a pat frisk of the passenger revealed a Glock 29 with a 15-round magazine concealed in a fanny pack.

The driver of the vehicle was released from the scene without charges.

The juvenile was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and a large capacity feeding device.

His arraignment is scheduled to take place in Boston Juvenile Court.
