Duxbury man cited for unlawful taking of motorcycle

DUXBURY — A 28-year-old Duxbury man was cited for the unlawful taking of tangible personal property after allegedly stealing a motorcycle on Aug. 14, police said.

Vermont State Police were called at 7:57 p.m. to Foxglove Run in the Town of Duxbury where they discovered that Tristan Pierce had the motorcycle unlawfully towed from private property.

The motorcycle belonged to Donald Smith Jr., 39, of Northfield.

Pierce, who did not have ownership or control of the property, was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division to face the charges.
