Campton police arrest suspect in pistol-whipping assault

CAMPTON — Police arrested a 22-year-old Thornton woman on Saturday in connection with a felony assault involving a firearm that took place outside a business on NH Route 49.

At approximately 1:46 p.m. on Aug. 17, Campton Police Department officers responded to reports of an assault where the victim was reportedly “pistol-whipped” by the suspect.

The assailant had fled the scene in a vehicle before authorities arrived.

With support from the Thornton Police Department, law enforcement officials were able to locate the vehicle and suspect shortly after the incident.

The police investigation led to the acquisition of a warrant for the arrest of Addisyn Rodgers.

Rodgers faces charges of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, and disorderly conduct.

Following her arrest, Rodgers was held on cash bail and transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections.

She awaits arraignment on the charges.
