ARLINGTON — A two-car collision resulted in non-life-threatening injuries for one driver on August 19 at approximately 4:27 p.m. along Vermont Route 7A near Ball Mountain Rd.
Vermont State Police reported that a 17-year-old juvenile from Arlington failed to yield while entering the intersection at Warm Brook Rd, causing the crash.
The juvenile, who was wearing a seat belt, was unharmed in the incident.
Laura Tassinari, 58, of Hoosick Falls, New York, was traveling southbound on VT Route 7A when the juvenile’s 2021 Toyota Corolla entered the roadway in front of her 2019 Subaru Crosstrek.
Tassinari, who was also wearing her seat belt, attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to steer clear, resulting in both vehicles colliding and coming to rest in the southbound embankment.
Tassinari sustained a minor chest injury and was transported to Southwestern VT Medical Center for treatment.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were towed from the scene.
The Arlington Fire Department, Arlington Rescue Squad, and Paul’s Towing Service provided assistance at the scene.
The police are continuing the investigation into the crash.
