FREETOWN — A home invasion incident on Braley Road in East Freetown has prompted an ongoing investigation by the Freetown Police Department.

On August 18, at 1:43 a.m., a resident called 9-1-1 to report a break-in while they were still inside the house.

The homeowner confronted the intruders and was assaulted before managing to escape the premises.

Upon their arrival, police officers noted evidence of forced entry and a house left in disarray.

Although the suspects, described as three males, made off with various items, some of the stolen goods were found abandoned near the scene.

One suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall black male with an average build, wearing a mask.

The other two are both heavy-set black males, with one reported to have dreadlocks.

Efforts to locate the perpetrators included a comprehensive search of the property with support from neighboring law enforcement agencies, K-9 units, and drone surveillance.

Despite these actions, the suspects remain at large.

The Freetown Police Department is actively seeking information related to the burglary and encourages anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact their Detective Division at 508-763-4017 or via email at [email protected].
