Two men arrested following road rage incident in South Kingston

SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Two Rhode Island men were arrested on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct following a road rage incident on Route 1 South, state police said.

The arrests occurred at 8:21 p.m. when troopers took into custody 57-year-old Kevin Spearin of Narragansett and 20-year-old Roman Gajdowski of Johnston.

Spearin, of 62 Rodman St., was transported to Kent County Hospital where he was given a misdemeanor release.

Gajdowski, of 85 Leading St., was taken to Wickford Barracks for processing.

He was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and subsequently released.

The incident that led to the arrests involved both men, but further details about the dispute were not immediately available.
