TISBURY — Police are cautioning motorists against attempting to drive through the heavily flooded 5 Corners intersection, advising that the water has risen higher than the bumpers of several vehicles.
The Tisbury Police Department issued an urgent warning to avoid the area due to significant flooding caused by recent heavy rainfall.
Vehicles attempting to pass through the inundated streets are at risk of breaking down and contributing to lengthy traffic delays.
“Please, avoid the area, unless it is an emergency,” the department stated, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
