Man cited for disorderly conduct after confronting utility workers in Brighton

BRIGHTON — A local resident was cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly threatening utility workers on East Haven Road, Vermont State Police reported.

Robert Boudreau, 69, of Brighton, is accused of engaging in tumultuous and threatening behavior while workers were attempting to perform maintenance on a utility pole near his property on Aug. 16 at around 7 p.m.

According to the police report, Payton Legaretta, 21, of Boise, Idaho, was among the workers who reported being threatened by Boudreau.

The incident prompted a response from the VSP Derby Barracks.

Officers who responded to the scene issued Boudreau a citation to appear in court and released him at the location of the disturbance.

The court date has been set for Boudreau to face the disorderly conduct charge.
