Haverhill police respond to disturbance, gunfire reported

HAVERHILL — In an effort to address the spread of misinformation on social media, the Haverhill Police Department has issued a statement regarding a recent incident.

On Saturday, Aug. 17 at about 9:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of a large disturbance at 260 Presidential Drive.

Upon arrival, they were informed that a gunshot had been fired, although there were no reports of anyone being hit by gunfire.

Two individuals were transported to local hospitals with injuries not related to gunfire.

Officers managed to restore peace at the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Haverhill Police Department.
