Driver flees after causing crash on I-89 in Milton

MILTON — A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 southbound near mile marker 103.2 resulted in one car veering into the median and the other fleeing the scene, according to Vermont State Police.

The incident occurred on Aug. 18 at around 5:40 p.m. The vehicle that caused the crash is reported to be an SUV with damage to the driver’s side.

Authorities are actively investigating the accident and looking for the suspect vehicle involved in the leaving the scene of an accident (LSA) violation.

The victim of the crash, Korbin Hughes, 20, of St. George, was not reported to have sustained significant injuries.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the SUV.
