Suspect in custody following double stabbing in Boston

BOSTON — A man was arrested after a double stabbing incident late Saturday evening that left one victim with life-threatening injuries, according to the Boston Police Department.

At about 9:12 p.m., on August 17, officers from District C-6 (South Boston) rushed to the scene at 1003 Massachusetts Avenue following reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, they found an individual holding down a man armed with a knife.

Police disarmed and handcuffed the suspect without further incident.

The officers discovered two male victims with stab wounds.

Boston EMS promptly provided medical treatment at the scene before transporting both victims to local hospitals.

One victim faced life-threatening injuries, while the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, Homicide Detectives were summoned and took charge of the investigation.

They recovered two knives at the scene, which are believed to be related to the crime.

Conrad Burnette, 62, from Milton, was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

He is scheduled for arraignment at Roxbury District Court.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbings continues.
