NORTH HAVEN — Firefighters from the North Haven Fire Department sprang into action at 8:12 p.m. this evening after a reported rollover accident involving three vehicles at the intersection of Quinnipiac Ave and Montowese Ave.
Upon arrival, the initial engine company found a driver trapped inside their vehicle, necessitating an urgent extrication operation.
Teams from Engine 1, Engine 2, Rescue 1, and Engine 6 worked swiftly, and within 10 minutes, the individual was safely removed from the wreckage.
Four patients in total were assessed at the scene, with one being promptly transported to a nearby hospital by Nelson ambulance for further medical attention.
Currently, North Haven Police Department officers are still on the scene conducting an investigation into the cause of the multi-vehicle accident.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes as traffic delays are expected to continue while the investigation is underway.
