WESTBROOK — The Westbrook Police Department has successfully located a stolen vehicle in Portland and apprehended an additional suspect, following an assault incident on Main Street earlier today.
Earlier, authorities had issued a public appeal to help find the vehicle, which was described as having blotchy red spray paint and a smashed-out backseat window on the driver’s side.
The car, which was reported to be carrying falsely attached Maine license plates marked 1180XC, was believed to be involved in the assault.
One suspect was taken into custody shortly after the incident, but police were actively searching for two more individuals.
The suspects at large were described as a white female with dark hair in her 20s, who was reportedly driving the vehicle, and a white male around 25 years old with distinctive tattoos near his right upper eyebrow.
The Westbrook Police Department has expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance and continues to seek information on the remaining suspects.
