NORTH FERRISBURGH — A two-vehicle collision on US Route 7 led to minor injuries and a citation for one driver on Aug. 15, authorities said.

At around 4:18 p.m., troopers were called to the scene just south of the intersection with Stage Road after reports of an accident.

According to the investigation, a 2024 Honda Accord, driven by 27-year-old Marcus Gregor of Greer, South Carolina, was stopped at a red light heading north.

Jennifer Wyrocki, 52, from Middlebury, Vermont, was driving a 2015 Chevy Trax behind the Honda and failed to stop in time, causing a rear-end collision.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and while both vehicles sustained damage, the injuries reported were minor.

Gregor was taken to UVM Medical Center by ambulance for further evaluation.

Wyrocki was cited for following too closely, a violation of Vermont Statute 23 VSA 1039, which includes a fine of $220 and three points on her driver’s license.

No court action is anticipated at this time.

Responding to the incident were members of the Ferrisburgh Fire Department, Vergennes Area Rescue Squad, and Bristol Rescue Squad, who assisted the troopers at the scene.

Traffic was affected temporarily as the vehicles were recovered and the area was cleared.
