Prospect police warn residents of unauthorized door-to-door solicitors

1 min read

PROSPECT — Prospect police issued a warning to residents on Aug. 16 about unauthorized door-to-door solicitation in the area, stating that no solar panel companies or other businesses have permission to solicit directly to homeowners.

The only exception is a young man who has obtained the necessary permit to promote his power washing services through Ascent Construction.

According to authorities, he will carry the authorized permit while conducting his business.

Residents are advised to exercise caution and verify the identity of any individuals attempting to solicit at their doors.

The police urge the community not to open their doors to strangers and to contact the Prospect Police Department if they encounter any suspicious activity.

The safety alert comes as the town enjoys the final weeks of summer, with law enforcement officials emphasizing the importance of community vigilance to ensure a safe and secure season for all Prospect residents.
