Milford police arrest suspect in storage unit burglary

MILFORD — Two suspects have been linked to a storage unit burglary that occurred at Cube Smart Storage on May 6, with Milford police making an arrest on Aug. 13.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the storage facility at 90 Rowe Avenue following reports of a burglary.

Upon arrival, they discovered multiple units with forced entry and several broken locks strewn across the ground.

The Milford Police Detective Bureau took over the investigation, and with support from the Crime Scene Unit, conducted an extensive inquiry that led to the issuance of two arrest warrants.

Colt Meadows, 20, from West Haven, was taken into custody by Milford Police.

Meadows faces charges including third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

A court has set a bond of $25,000 for Meadows, who is slated to make a court appearance in Milford on Sept. 10.
