MANCHESTER — A Manchester man has been arrested on multiple counts of possession of child sexual abuse images following a cybercrime investigation, police said.

Martin Easton, 47, was taken into custody after a months-long probe by the Manchester Police Cyber Crime Unit, which began after authorities received a tip in March.

The investigation led to the seizure of Easton’s electronic devices, where investigators discovered numerous sexually explicit images of children.

Easton turned himself in at the Manchester Police Department on Aug. 7 and was charged with ten counts of possession of child sexual abuse images and one count of certain uses of computer services prohibited.

Following his surrender, Easton was held on preventative detention.

The arrest underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat the proliferation of online child exploitation.

The Manchester Police have not disclosed further details about the case, as the investigation remains active.
