Plymouth police detain suspect in Manomet homicide investigation

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth Police Department announced today that Matthew Paluzzi, a suspect in an apparent homicide in the Manomet area, has been detained by Hanover Police Department and is currently being held pending a search warrant.

Paluzzi, a 26-year-old white male with brown, shoulder-length hair and a full beard, was last seen wearing a grey North Face hooded sweatshirt.

He was believed to be driving a black 2017 Nissan Murano Platinum Edition with Massachusetts registration 8MZF30.

Earlier, authorities had issued a warning to the public not to approach Paluzzi, who may be armed, and to immediately call 911 if he or the vehicle was spotted.

The Massachusetts State Police are in the process of transporting Paluzzi to Plymouth Police Headquarters.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Plymouth Police Department has expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance.
