Dorset man charged with DUI #4 after Sunderland crash

SUNDERLAND — A two-vehicle collision on Sunderland Hill Road led to the arrest of a Dorset man on suspicion of his fourth DUI offense, Vermont State Police reported.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police-Shaftsbury Barracks responded to the incident at approximately 7:37 p.m. on Aug. 14.

The collision involved minor damage and no injuries were reported.

The investigation revealed that Jason D. Sanders, 45, was attempting to pass another vehicle when the accident occurred.

Upon interaction with Sanders, troopers observed signs of impairment and proceeded to arrest him on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Sanders was taken to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing and was later released with a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Bennington Criminal Division, on charges of DUI and driving with a criminally suspended license (DLS).
