Boston police nab breaking and entering suspect in downtown area

BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department’s District A-1 (Downtown) arrested a suspect on charges of breaking and entering Thursday morning after responding to a call at a commercial property on Pearl Street.

At about 8:40 a.m., police were dispatched to 145 Pearl Street following a report of a break-in.

Upon arrival, officers noticed signs of forced entry, including a damaged door frame and personal items scattered on the ground.

The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Lindsey Hurld of Quincy, was found inside the compromised commercial space.

After detaining Hurld and verifying her identity, authorities discovered she had three active arrest warrants.

Hurld was taken into custody and charged with vandalizing property, breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, and trespassing.

The warrants against her included possession of burglarious instruments, possession of Class B controlled substances, and shoplifting by asportation.

She is slated for arraignment at Boston Municipal Court.
