Thomaston police investigate vandalism at local green

THOMASTON — Thomaston Police responded to a report of vehicle damage at William King Drive and the Thomaston Green on the morning of Aug. 10, after finding evidence of vehicles having torn up grass with tire tracks, commonly known as “doing donuts.”

Officers conducted a preliminary investigation which led to the identification of several juvenile subjects as persons of interest in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have indicated that criminal charges are pending.

The Thomaston Green, often used for community events and recreational activities, sustained noticeable damage.

Local officials have not yet released an estimate for the repairs needed.

The Thomaston Police Department is asking anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
