1 min read

MONTVILLE — Montville Police Department is reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent larceny case at the American Legion.

The incident, which involved the theft of an industrial fan valued at around $200, has left the organization facing unexpected expenses.

The suspect allegedly severed the electrical cord of the fan before removing it from the premises.

While the motive behind the theft remains unclear, the consequences for the American Legion are tangible, as replacing the fan represents a financial burden they had not anticipated.

The police have shared that the nature of the theft, whether for a personal collection, practical use, or an inventive project, does not mitigate the impact of the loss on the American Legion.

The Montville Police Department is urging anyone with information about the theft or the identity of the suspect to come forward.

Witnesses or individuals with knowledge of the incident are encouraged to contact the department’s routine line at 860-848-7510 and speak with Officer Todd, badge number 05, referencing case number 24-00011136.
