Manchester police investigate shooting at local market

MANCHESTER — Police responded to a shooting at El Pacero Market on Maple Street at approximately 9:50 a.m. on Aug. 14, where a confrontation led to a 27-year-old man being critically wounded.

Officers were called to the scene following reports of gunfire at the market located at 326 Maple St. In a related incident, a man with a gunshot wound entered Elliot Hospital around the same time.

The victim, whose name has not been released, is reported to be in critical but stable condition.

Manchester Police have connected the hospital report with the market shooting.

Investigators say the shooting occurred during a dispute between the victim and another man inside the store.

The suspect, identified as a black male wearing dark clothing, reportedly fled the scene on foot.

Police are actively investigating the case and seeking leads to apprehend the suspect.
