Eden woman arrested on outstanding warrant following welfare check

EDEN — Vermont State Police officers responded to a welfare check request at approximately 8:40 a.m. on Aug. 12 for Cianna Allen, a 29-year-old resident of Eden who had not been in contact since Aug. 1.

Upon making contact with Allen at her East Hill Road residence, troopers discovered she had an active arrest warrant for a probation violation.

Allen was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Morristown Police Department.

After posting bail, Allen was released with a citation to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court – Criminal Division at a later date.

The Vermont State Police provided no further details on the incident.
