WORCESTER — A 44-year-old woman was arrested on drug charges early Monday morning after Worcester Police officers witnessed a suspected drug transaction on Millbury Street.
Around 12:45 a.m., officers observed Jamie Gervais removing an item from her right pants pocket while a male individual appeared to place something inside the door of a nearby residence before retrieving an object from a window ledge.
Upon stopping the male, who was later identified only as a buyer, he admitted to having crack cocaine in his pocket, which he surrendered to law enforcement.
He is expected to be summoned to court at a later date.
Confronted by the officers, Gervais was asked about the observed exchange and if she possessed any additional narcotics.
She produced a knotted plastic bag containing Fentanyl and further retrieved crack cocaine from her person.
Gervais is facing multiple charges, including distribution of a Class B Substance (crack), possession of a Class B Substance (crack) with intent to distribute, and possession of a Class A substance (Fentanyl) with intent to distribute.
The Worcester Police Department is continuing their investigation into the incident.
