PORTLAND — A 16-year-old Portland male was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, Aug. 11, after his vehicle veiled off the road and struck a tree on Brighton Avenue at the intersection with Raymond Road.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m., prompting an immediate response from the Portland Police and emergency medical services.
Upon arrival, officers found that bystanders had already begun providing aid to the injured teen.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to Maine Medical Center to receive treatment for his injuries.
The extent of his condition has not been disclosed, but authorities described the injuries as serious.
As of now, the Portland Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash.
No charges have been filed in relation to the incident.
