Man arrested for DUI, hit-and-run in Andover

ANDOVER — A New Hampshire man was arrested Sunday evening after allegedly driving under the influence of drugs, hitting another vehicle, and fleeing the scene on Vermont Route 11.

Vermont State Police responded to a report of erratic driving at about 6:48 p.m. Troopers from the Westminster Barracks found that 35-year-old Joshua Rowe of Charlestown, New Hampshire, had been operating a 2015 Toyota Corolla when he collided with another vehicle and left the scene.

An investigation concluded that Rowe was impaired at the time of the incident.

He was taken into custody and charged with DUI – Drugs, Negligent Operation, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

Rowe was processed at the Springfield Police Department and later released with a criminal citation.

He is set to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on Sept. 17 at 8 a.m. to face the charges.
