WEST WARWICK — Rhode Island State Police arrested a West Warwick man on multiple weapons and drug charges following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
Jayson C. Shute, 37, faces 10 charges including possession of a ghost gun, carrying a pistol without a license, and manufacturing/possession with intent to deliver fentanyl.
Troopers stopped Shute’s vehicle on Turner Drive in West Warwick at 2:57 p.m. During the stop, officers discovered firearms, including a ghost gun and large capacity feeding devices, as well as fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Shute, of 1439 Main Street, was also charged with possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence and driving with a suspended license – fourth or subsequent offense.
After processing at the Hope Valley Barracks, Shute was arraigned by a justice of the peace and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions.
He is being held as a bail and probation violator.
