SOUTHBRIDGE — A joint operation between the Southbridge Police Department and the Southern Worcester County Counter Crime and Drug Task Force resulted in three arrests and the seizure of narcotics on Tuesday morning.

At about 6:10 a.m., authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on 29 Hudson Ave following an extensive investigation into local drug trafficking.

Investigators discovered quantities of suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl prepared for distribution, along with a digital scale and packaging materials.

Alex Melendez, 21, of 21 Oakes Ave, was charged with possession with intent to distribute Class A Fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute Class B crack cocaine, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Melissa M. Tarallo, 45, of the Hudson Ave address, faced similar charges.

Additionally, 24-year-old Priscilla A. Perez, also a Hudson Ave resident, was arrested on outstanding warrants unrelated to the drug operation, including drug possession and credit card fraud charges.

All three individuals were detained at Southbridge Police Headquarters awaiting bail or arraignment at Dudley District Court.

Authorities also plan to seek a warrant for another suspect linked to the drug distribution network, who was not present during the raid.
