SOUTH HADLEY — The South Hadley Police Department confirmed today that 16-year-old Tobias Smith, who was reported missing since Thursday night, has been found safe.
Tobias was last seen by his mother at their home at 11 p.m. on August 8.
Concerns grew after he was believed to have left the house the following morning after 7:30 a.m.
Authorities did not have a description of his clothing at the time of his disappearance, but noted he often wears shorts and a hoodie.
After an urgent search and public appeal for assistance, the police edited their notice on August 10 at 10:35 a.m., announcing that Tobias has been located and is safe.
No further details regarding his disappearance or how he was found have been released at this time.
