NASHUA — A local man was arrested on charges of domestic violence and strangulation after an incident that occurred at his residence on Aug. 7.
Nashua Police Department officers responded to a report of domestic assault involving 35-year-old Frederick Churchville and an adult female victim.
The victim, who is known to Churchville, alleged that he physically assaulted and strangled her.
Following the initial response, Churchville was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor Domestic Violence – Simple Assault.
The Special Investigations Division of the Nashua Police Department conducted a further investigation into the incident.
As a result of the extended investigation, detectives charged Churchville with an additional count of felony Second Degree Assault (Strangulation) – Domestic Violence.
He was held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections on Preventative Detention and was arraigned at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on Aug. 8.
