BRISTOL — A Vermont State Trooper conducting patrol duties on Vermont Route 116 apprehended a motorist for grossly negligent operation on Aug. 6.
Jeffrey Bruckner, 69, of Warren, was caught speeding at 98 mph in a 50 mph zone around 4:07 p.m., during peak commuter traffic.
The state trooper observed Bruckner’s vehicle traveling southbound at an excessive speed and overtaking another vehicle.
Following a traffic stop, Bruckner was issued a citation with a fine of $710 for the speed violation.
Additionally, he received a criminal citation for the more severe charge of gross negligent operation.
Bruckner is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court on Nov. 18 at 12:30 p.m. to face the charges.
