Fort Kent man found safe after missing person alert

FORT KENT — The Fort Kent Police Department has announced that McClaren “Mickey” McBreairty, who was reported missing after not returning from a fishing trip, has been found safe.

McBreairty had gone fishing yesterday morning and failed to return home by evening.

He was last spotted at the Allagash Checkpoint for the Northern Maine Woods, driving his Silver Ford F-150.

Authorities issued a missing person alert and sought public assistance to locate the Fort Kent man, sharing contact information for both the Fort Kent Police Department and the Maine Warden Service.

The efforts to find McBreairty were successful, with the Fort Kent Police Department expressing gratitude to the Maine Warden Service and the public for their help in locating him.
