Boston police arrest most wanted suspect

BOSTON — Members of the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Unit apprehended Leonard Boutilier, a suspect on the BPD’s Most Wanted list, at a local gas station on Wednesday afternoon.

Boutilier, 53, from Charlestown, was taken into custody without incident around 4 p.m. at the gas station located at 220 Broadway.

He was sought on an outstanding warrant tied to multiple serious charges.

The suspect is expected to face arraignment in Suffolk Superior Court on charges that include Armed & Masked Robbery (Subsequent Offense), Armed Robbery, Unarmed Robbery, and two counts of Attempt to Commit a Crime.

The Boston Police Department has not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading to Boutilier’s arrest or his alleged crimes.
