Woman arrested for suspected DUI in Newport Center

NEWPORT CENTER — A traffic stop led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Albany woman on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs Monday morning.

At around 9:48 a.m., Vermont State Police responded to a report of a vehicle stopped at the intersection of VT Route 100 and VT Route 14 with the operator and passenger apparently unconscious.

Before troopers arrived, the vehicle was seen heading south on VT Route 14.

A state trooper located and stopped the vehicle.

The driver, identified as Aubrey Bolduc, exhibited signs of impairment.

Following an investigation, Bolduc was arrested on suspicion of DUI – drug.

Bolduc was taken to the Derby Barracks for processing and was later released with a citation to appear in court.
