Rhode Island police seek help identifying jewelry theft suspect

NEWPORT, RI — The Newport Rhode Island Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman suspected of stealing jewelry from a local store.

Authorities report that on March 8 at around 5 p.m., a middle-aged white female with grayish-brown curly hair was seen wearing a yellow button-down shirt and tan pants.

She was carrying two small white dogs and a black bag when she allegedly took $228 worth of jewelry from Kiel James Patrick’s Flagship Store.

Detective RJ Cooper is asking anyone with information about the suspect to come forward.
