PUTNAM — A Putnam man was arrested Aug. 6 during a court appearance on a warrant stemming from an April stabbing incident, police said.
Isaiah D. Snell, known to reside in Killingly, was served with the arrest warrant at approximately 10:15 a.m. at Danielson Superior Court, where he was appearing for unrelated criminal charges, according to the Putnam Police Department Detective Division.
The charge against Snell is second-degree assault, related to an altercation that took place on the morning of April 14 outside a Florence Street residence in Putnam.
The victim, who police say knew Snell, sustained a non-life-threatening stab wound and was treated at Day Kimball Hospital.
The investigation concluded that the stabbing was not a random act of violence.
Snell’s bond was set at $50,000 by the court, and he was returned to the custody of the Connecticut Department of Corrections following the arrest.
