Pedestrian hit by car in West Haven, driver flees scene

WEST HAVEN — A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle around 8 p.m. this evening on Saw Mill Road near Greta Street, according to the West Haven Police Department.

The vehicle involved in the incident fled the scene and has not been located as of yet.

The victim, who suffered a head injury, was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Authorities have reported that the victim is in stable condition with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The West Haven Police Department’s patrol division is continuing the investigation into the hit-and-run.
