MERIDEN — A man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Aug. 5, 2019, after Meriden Police Department’s extensive investigation led to the identification of the alleged shooter.
Trayquan Ford, born Jan. 20, 1996, a convicted felon already incarcerated on separate firearms charges, was served with an arrest warrant on Monday in relation to the shooting that targeted an occupied vehicle at 120 Gravel St.
The individual inside the vehicle was unharmed despite the vehicle being struck by gunfire.
Investigators believe that Ford and the intended target of the shooting were acquainted.
Ford has been charged with criminal attempt to commit assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a firearm.
He faces an additional $150,000 bond for these charges.
The Meriden Police Department acknowledged the assistance of various agencies that contributed to the resolution of this case.
