RICHFORD — Three local residents faced charges Tuesday after Vermont State Police found they had defaced a roadway with paint.

Authorities responded to complaints near 39 Troy St. around 12:11 p.m. on July 31, where they discovered paint scrawled across the road surface.

An investigation led officers to Phillip Walker-Brazie, 36, Mark Clapper, 26, and Jessica Broe, 46, all from Richford.

Evidence at the scene indicated that Walker-Brazie had written on the road with paint, while Broe and Clapper assisted in depositing various colors of paint.

All three were cited for Unlawful Mischief and are expected to appear in court to answer to the charges.
