DUXBURY — Several residents in the southeastern part of Duxbury woke up to find their vehicles broken into on Aug. 2, with various items reported stolen.
The Duxbury Police Department responded to calls about the incidents, which occurred overnight, and officers filed initial reports.
Detectives have since taken over the investigation, actively following up on leads to identify the individuals responsible.
While the investigation continues, Chief Michael Carbone reminds the community to remain vigilant.
Residents are encouraged to lock their vehicles and report any suspicious behavior immediately.
“However, this is a reminder to everyone to secure your vehicles and be on the lookout for any suspicious activity,” Carbone said. “If you see or hear anything suspicious don’t hesitate to call us.”
