Vernon police seek info on hit-and-run suspect

VERNON — The Windham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run accident that took place on Fort Bridgman Road near Zaluzny Excavating sometime between Friday evening and early Monday morning.

Authorities are on the lookout for a Toyota vehicle with fresh damage and are asking the public to report any sightings.

If anyone has information about a Toyota with recent damage, they are urged to contact the Windham County Sheriff’s Office at 802-365-4942, extension 0, referencing case number 24WHC004169.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released any information about the suspect or the extent of the damage involved in the incident.
