SWANTON — A two-vehicle crash on Highgate Road near Woods Hollow Road intersection led to significant damage and minor traffic disruptions, but no injuries were reported.

State Police and local fire/rescue teams arrived on the scene at 9:46 a.m. to address the incident involving a 2022 Ford F-350 and a 2019 Honda Odyssey.

The investigation indicated that the Honda, driven by 28-year-old Lily Deslauriers of Highgate, was heading north on Highgate Road when Mark Charbonneau, 63, from St. Albans, driving the Ford westbound on Woods Hill Road, entered the intersection and collided with the Honda.

The impact caused the Honda Odyssey to spin and come to rest on the north side of the road, resulting in significant damage that led to the vehicle being declared a total loss.

The Ford F-350 sustained minor damage to its front bumper.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The weather conditions were clear and the road was dry, which potentially helped avoid any injuries.

Traffic was briefly delayed as crews worked to clear the scene.
