Worcester police investigate early morning stabbing

WORCESTER — Worcester Police Department’s Detective Bureau is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on Delmont Avenue early Sunday morning.

At around 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 4, officers responded to a call reporting a stabbing.

Upon arrival, they found a 27-year-old man with two stab wounds, one to his right thigh and another to his buttocks.

The officers quickly applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg to control the bleeding.

The injured man was transported to a local hospital, and authorities have stated that his injuries are non-life threatening.

The circumstances surrounding the stabbing are still under investigation, and no suspects have been identified at this time.

The Worcester Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
