WATERBURY — A 32-year-old Waterbury woman faces multiple charges after a two-vehicle crash and subsequent altercation with law enforcement officers.
Anna Provost was arrested Friday for suspicion of driving under the influence, negligent operation, and assault on law enforcement following an incident on Waterbury-Stowe Road.
At 12:15 p.m., troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to a crash near the intersection of Waterbury-Stowe Road and Reservoir Road.
During the investigation, officers determined Provost was allegedly operating a vehicle while impaired.
Provost refused to submit to a breath test and was taken into custody.
While being processed at the Berlin Barracks, she allegedly assaulted troopers.
Authorities issued Provost a citation to appear at Washington County Superior Court-Criminal Division on Aug. 5 at 12:30 p.m. to face charges.
The Vermont State Police did not release details about injuries or damages resulting from the initial crash.
