South Windsor police investigate shooting at condominium complex

SOUTH WINDSOR — Police are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old man injured at a condominium complex in South Windsor, Connecticut.

The incident occurred at 11:42 p.m. Thursday at the Cinnamon Springs Condominium Complex, located at 34 Cinnamon Springs.

South Windsor Police Department responded to a call reporting that someone at the address had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers safely evacuated seven occupants from the residence, including the victim.

The 19-year-old male had sustained a small-caliber gunshot wound to the hip.

Officers provided immediate medical care at the scene before the victim was transported to Hartford Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The department’s Criminal Investigation Unit is leading the investigation.

Authorities are urging anyone with information or video footage from the area that could assist in the investigation to contact Corporal Klein at 860-644-2551.
