ANSONIA — A 35-year-old Ansonia resident suffered serious head and leg injuries after his minibike collided with a minivan Wednesday evening, police said.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. in the 200 block of Wakelee Avenue.
Responding officers found that the minibike had struck the rear of the minivan.
The injured rider was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
The driver and a passenger in the minivan were unharmed.
Ansonia Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
